Voyages of the H.M.S. Whitechapel

Sharp side down,
the blue-chromed ship

sails for the rim,
cutting each wave

with surgical precision,
salt-blood staining

the wake of
every single thrust,

one vulgar sea
after another.









Robert Borski did not begin writing poetry until he was well into his fifties, but since then has seen over 150 poems published, many of which first appeared in Strange Horizons or Star*Line.
