Edward Wolverton is an artist-poet now living in the San Francisco Bay area. He is a husband, a father of four children, and has six grandchildren. He received an Award of Commendation from the city of Milpitas, CA for his contributions to the art world, having a gallery showing for the city in January 2005. He has two books of poetry going into publication, Red Rose and My Wild Irish Rose. He underwent a double-bypass operation on his heart in December 2003, and has undergone several more operations since, having to retire from his employment as a journeyman machinist for the last seventeen years.
