Graduate of The Cleveland Institute of Art with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and Case-Western University with an M.S. in Art Education, Baron became active in Mail Art in 1975 and has pursued a variety of alternative art forms since then, including Performance, Installations, Video, Lightworks, and Visual Poetry. His various books and collections are included in The Gund Library of The Cleveland Institute of Art, The Special Collections of The Cleveland Public Library, and at SUNY-Buffalo. Other works are included in The Avant Writing Collection at OSU, The Library of MOMA, and The Japanese Museum of Contemporary Poetry.
